What Is This?!?!

WATER...in OUR pool!!! We thought it would never happen but they plastered the pool yesterday morning and started filling it up! We didn't tell the kids because we didn't want them to get their hopes up and then it fall thru. Jared and I were in Conway Saturday night (more about THAT on the next post) so we didn't get home from getting the kids and going to church until after 7. There wasn't a lot of water in the pool by that time but enough to splash around in! It was getting cool outside but I don't think they even noticed! I'll post some better pool pics soon. They are doing a lot of work out there right now so I should have some soon!

Prayers

I've been saying a prayer with Lydia before she goes to sleep at night. I've done this for a while now but I'm sad to say that I wasn't very consistent with it. Last week, I sat her on my lap facing me, put her hands together and bowed my head. While saying it I glanced at her and her eyes were closed tight and her head was bowed. It was the sweetest sight. When I finished she said (in a very sweet quiet voice), "I want mo." We said several prayers that night! One night (after saying it several nights in a row) I gave her the paci and put her in bed without saying the prayer. She layed down and suddenly threw her paci behind her, put her hands together, bowed her head and said "Amen, Momma." Every time I finish praying she says, "I want mo Amen, Momma." I don't think I'll ever forget to pray with her again :)!

She's really into these serious looks! Sometimes she'll give you a look like this and then start smiling and laughing. Oh, and then give you the "look" again!

Taking a break to eat some oranges! She decided that she loves them :)!
She decided that she (finally) likes bows!
New BOOTS! And you'd better not touch them ;). "My booos!"
THIS picture scares me! It's like a glimpse into the future. Zane and my sweet neighbor Courtney were walking Lyddie into the pool. Jared and I were neighbors so you just never know :).

"School is AWESOME!!!!"

That is what I heard when Harrison got in the car after school today. It was music to my ears!! Zane started Middle School and Harrison started Kindergarten. I got a quick picture of Zane walking out the door. Have I mentioned that I just bought this child new shoes and they are size 10.5 (mens)?!?! He had a great first day, too. He has a locker this year and I was a little worried about him getting it opened. He had no problem and was helping his friends get theirs open! He's very excited about his homeroom teacher and pod. I have a feeling it's going to be a great year!Jared arranged to be able to go with me to take Harrison. I am so thankful because I probably would've cried like a baby if he hadn't been there! He did really well. He walked in, hung his backpack up, and started playing with play doh. You've got to love Kindergarten :). I really love his teacher. She's very sweet and I've heard nothing but great things about her.

Mexico!!!!

We got back Saturday from a week long trip in Playa del Carmen, Mexico. We had SO much fun! Lydia stayed here with grandparents so that we could have a "big kid" trip with the boys. We were able to do some things that we couldn't have done with her there. We went to Xel Ha one day and swam with dolphins on another. That has been my dream ever since I was little and watched Flipper :)!! It was GREAT! The only pics that I have of that are printed. I may try to scan those and post about it. Xel Ha was also very cool. If you are in that area I recommend doing both. We stayed at an Iberostar resort called Paraiso del Mar. We LOVED it. The grounds were beautiful and very clean. I would highly recommend checking out Iberostar resorts. We have heard great things about them. Get ready for some pictures..... :) The boys seem very happy considering....
this is 4:52 A.M.!!

This is Harrison signing his first passport. I wish you could see his picture. Even people in customs look at it and smile. It looks like those celebrity mug shots!!

Here are the boys getting ready to board the plane. They've both flown but Harrison hasn't since he was really little. They did great. We had a pretty bumpy flight and they never even glanced up from their books.

This is us at the Cancun airport.

This is the trolly that we sometimes rode from our room to the front of the complex. Our room was right on the ocean and next to one of the buffet restaurant so it was very convenient.

The boys loved being able to have "free" fruit punch, cokes, and ice cream ANYTIME they wanted.

This was my view. I love the ocean!!

We had a rainshower in the pool.

We would take our games to the lobby or game room. You can't go to the beach and not get a tatoo. Haha!!
Can you see the sunscreen all over Zane's face? He may never get it all out of his ears :).

Here are the boys getting ready to swim with the dolphins!

The walkways in a lot of areas were really shady. We would see these strange animals running around. They seemed so odd at first but then you realize that they're pretty tame and people would feed them bread.
The pool games were Zane's FAVORITE! They were on opposite teams on this one.
This is the only decent picture that I got in the airport. I heard, "Mama" in a little voice. She had a very serious look on her face and ran as fast as she could to us. It was precious!!
