Goin' To The Chapel...

My little brother, Matt, and his fiance, Lynn, got married this weekend. It was a small wedding with just their immediate families present (so please don't be offended if you're reading this and thinking that you didn't get an invitation!!). We're shooting for a reception in May. We had a great time. Everything was BEAUTIFUL! It was the perfect day for an outside wedding. Congratulations Matt and Lynn!!

Caught in the act!! Now Matt knows who to hunt down for making their car smell like parmesan cheese!! (Matt, FYI, Monte and Ray were there, too! I just didn't get them in that picture.)
Lyddie and Carter enjoying some down time.

Yard Work

On Saturday, we got out in the flower beds and WORKED!! It was great to get so much done. Harrison came out (in his pj's and green frog boots) and helped. Jared set up a canopy for Lydia so that she could enjoy being outside without worrying about a sunburn. Zane had spent the night with a friend so he had to miss out. I'm sure he was very sad to miss yard work!
Waving the spring flag!

A kiss from Zane. Getting love from Daddy!
Reindeer ears
She has this new thing that she does with her mouth. It's cute!!
She's been getting up on her hands and knees and pushing (sometimes she rocks). She's going to be all over the place soon!

Sitting Up!!

Yesterday, when I sat Lydia down on the floor, she just SAT there. She didn't topple over for quite a while! She's been doing the same thing today. I put her little quilt up and got out a BIG blanket. She rolls from wall to wall and scoots in and around her play gym. She has really changed a lot in the last week!"No hands!"
Look at that posture. I wish mine was that good!
Her new play mat.
Watching a little Baby Einstein.

Five Kids and a Trailer

I'll admit, I have my share of complaints when it comes to living outside of town (I'm only 12 minutes from Wal-Mart so I shouldn't complain!), but when I look outside and see the kids playing like this...I LOVE it!!!! Harrison was there but he was sitting on a dog house watching.
I couldn't leave him out. He came in with these on and said, "Mom, I want to be a star. You know, one of those singing stars."

No Peas, Please!!!

No explanation needed!!! She also gagged when I gave her bananas (which is crazy because I actually love the bananas!).

Spring Break Continued

We went to a show called Medieval Times. It was really neat. You get to eat dinner (with no untensils) and watch the guys fight and ride horses. When you got there they assigned you to a certain fighter (his title has left me!). They give you these really sweet hats and you sit with your group and cheer your fighter on. Harrison did NOT want to go! He kept saying that he didn't want to see someone die. Once he got there and saw that it wasn't real he had a blast. Can you tell that Zane's starting to get a little too old for these silly hats! He actually loved it, too.

Spring Break

We took the boys to Dallas for Spring Break this year (at the end of March). Jared had a conference there on Saturday so we just turned it into a family trip. We decided to let Lydia stay behind and play with grandparents for a few days. It was a GREAT idea!! Even though she's a wonderful baby, she's still a baby! We were really able to enjoy the boys and relax. The first night that we were there we stayed at a hotel that's actually part of the airport (the Grand Hyatt). That is where Jared's conference was early the next morning. They boys watched airplanes for hours!!! The next day we checked out and moved over to the Embassy Suites that is connected to the Bass Pro Shop. We went and watched FC Dallas play LA Galaxy. It was very cool to see David Beckham play. We also went to Six Flags but my camera was too bulky to take in. We saw a show called Medieval Times. More about that on the next post. We had a great time!!
Harrison watching planes. Watching planes from the top of our hotel. Harrison wanted to go after me on the escalator. After I went, he was too afraid to step on (my niece lost a shoe and almost her foot on one so I've sufficiently scared him!). I kept trying to run back down but I was laughing so hard I couldn't get there. Zane and Jared went down and rescued him!
They look a little thuggish!

Soccer Game

The boys had soccer games on Monday. I didn't get a very good picture of Zane because their field is so much bigger and I can't get very close to him (I will NOT embarrass him by chasing him up and down the field-no matter how badly I want a good picture!). On Saturday, Zane got a "hat trick" (3 goals in one game--I'm such a soccer mom!) I probably didn't even use that term correctly in a sentence. Jared may have to help me out!

(Zane is on the right side.)

Lyddie was a good cheerleader (even though she cried when Granny screamed for Harrison). She's going to have to get used to that. Granny gets very excited at the games! It's GREAT!!
