One More!!

This is my last post! I guess it's actually the first that you are seeing. I downloaded all of my pics at once and it's been a busy week! Lydia pushed herself up and stood yesterday!!! She did it several times and then last night she did it when Jared was there and actually stood straight up (I didn't get a picture of that-in these she's leaning forward more).

She pushed her piano around.
She's got a new gummy grin!!

Track Meet

Zane's school participated in a track meet yesterday at Fayetteville High School. He did a great job!! He came in first in his heat in the the 50 meter dash.It was CLOSE!
He jumped over 9 feet in the running long jump.
He threw the football 21 yards.

It's That Time...

We took the kids swimming at the club a couple of days ago. The kid area was closed so we swam in the big pool. The water was a little cool (can you tell by Lyddie's face?).

Is that MY son?? He likes to take pictures like his mom!
"Hey you."
Harrison wanted to hold Lydia. She was wanting his attention!

"Don't Lydia!!!"

Today, Harrison decided that him and Lydia were going to play a board game. It started off really well, but Lydia didn't cooperate (as you can imagine). "I don't understand the rules."
She is becoming dangerous. She's strong enough to push herself up on some things but not steady enough to be safe!
This was when Harrison started to get mad. It's the first time that I've heard him get frustrated with her (but it definetly WON'T be the last). Every time I would move her back to her blanket, she would head straight back over to him. She's getting MUCH quicker!

Yet ANOTHER First!

O.k., ya'll are probably getting really tired of these "first" posts but it may be the only way I can remember them until I actually get her baby book filled out (especially since they've all happened so close together)! She's started going from crawling to pushing herself up and sitting down. She first did it on Saturday while she was in a room ALONE. I had walked out of the room to look at something and when Jared walked in she was sitting there holding onto the couch. Now she's doing it like a pro!

"Mom acts like a dork everytime I do this!"

Stealing

O.K., I'm stealing an idea from a friend of mine's blog (I'm sorry Kara!!). She has what's called "What I Love Fridays". I'll do a little spin off of it and post it randomly when I find things that I'm loving. The idea hit me the other day when I was using a baby product on Lydia (of course--most of my loves will probably be kid related, unintentionally!) and thought how much I LOVED it! O.K, simple enough.
1. I love these baby wipes for Lydia. She's super sensitive and I will occasionally try regular sensitive baby wipes and she is raw within a day. They are by Lansinoh and you can get them at Target.

2. California Baby diaper rash cream. Same reason as above!
3.Avalon Baby Organics shampoo and body wash--I haven't gone crunchy, this is just good stuff (not that there's anything wrong with being crunchy!!).
I had more but they've left me (mommy brain) and Harrison just woke up and wants some breakfast. Let me know if you've found things that you love. It's a great way to know what's out there with out having to trial and error everything (especially health and beauty products-I love ideas for those!).

Funny Stories

For those of you that don't know Harrison very well...he's a funny one. A bit... ok a LOT dramatic, clever, and just funny! For example, last night I looked down at his pants and there was a very large hole in the knee. I could tell that it hadn't been ripped...more like it had been CUT!! Here was the conversation:
Me: "HARRISON, what happened to your pants??!!??"
He got this look of fear and glanced up at Jared and said,"I just don't want to tell you." He was almost crying but not quite.
Jared: "You have to tell us... "so on and so forth until he finally told us that he had cut them.
Jared: " Maybe I should just go out and cut holes in the seats of the Tahoe, take a bat and beat out the windows, bust out the head lights, and rip off the doors so that we can't ride in it anymore (I can't imagine why he's dramatic...LOL).
Suddenly Harrison starts BAWLING!! Jared asked why we shouldn't do that (thinking we need to take care of our things...)
Harrison: Because there's a TV in there, Dad!!
If your not laughing you really needed to be there because we both lost it (but he was punished--having to earn money to pay for another pair. Too bad he cut the Nike's. It's going to take a while!).
One more story.
He has a "girlfriend" at school (Skylar). He took her a Barbie watch from the cereal box and she's been his ever since! Tonight at dinner we were sitting there and he asked Jared who his favorite people in the world were. Jared answered with, "This girl named Suzy and her three kids..." Harrison said, "My favorite people are God, Jesus, my family, and a girl named Skylar. But I think we may've broken up. She went on vacation." He is just so much fun and makes me laugh constantly!
Quick Zane story.
One of his best friends is Woody. He told Zane that he had a "secret weapon" for getting "dates" (he's 10!). It's his Axe deoderant. When he was on a cruise he would get around 5 dates every night and he knew it was his deoderant because he tried not wearing it one night and didn't get a single date. Zane went to spend the night there last weekend and was going to find out which kind he wore!!

Lydia's Got A Tooth!!

It's been a BIG couple of weeks for Miss Lydia. She's really sitting up like a champ, becoming very mobile, starting to crawl, starting to crawl onto things (like her boppy pillow!), AND her first tooth has popped thru. I'm NOT going to say that I can't believe she has a tooth because she hasn't been fussy, poopy, feverish.... SO anyway. You can't see it very well but you can definetly feel it!

She puts her feet flat on the floor, hands flat on the pillow, and pushes her bottom in the air. When she's doing it, it looks like a pilates move. Makes mommy proud (pilates is my newest love)!!
This is one of those meshy food holders where they can chew and suck the food out without choking. She LOVED the banana! It was SO messy but it entertained her thru dinner. Watching the boys play baseball.
Max is SUCH a patient dog. Zane is so good with her (and she loves him!!).Zane took her down the slide for the first time. She loved it! When Jared would walk back over to hand her up to Zane she would start kicking and smiling.

It's been a LONG day!

She's Crawling!!

She's not a speed demon yet but it won't be long! She's been scooting around for a couple of weeks, but in the last few days she's started staying up on her hands and knees and carefully putting one hand in front of the other. It's so cute to watch!! I had gone to make her a bottle and when I came back this is what I found...
She has a Jump-a-Roo (bouncy thing on a frame that doesn't hang from the door frame-do you like my technical description??) but we found this old one in the attic. We attached it to one of our TALL doorways. Jared actually had to add an extension to make it long enough (probably not recommended by the manufacturer!!). I think she might like her jump-a-roo better but this gives her something else to do. I have to watch Harrison or he swings her! This is a picture of Jared pulling her up to adjust the length.
Daddy demonstrating!

This was Harrison's favorite picture so we had to add it!!

Random Pictures

The weather has been so great! The boys are LOVING baseball right now.
This is what big brothers do! Sweet Lydia is already sitting on whoopie cushions.
This was Harrison's piano when he was a baby. Lydia is loving it!!
