Cheeee Balls!

Lydia walked out of the pantry last night with these. She was saying, "Cheee balls, cheee balls. Pee (please) Momma." How do you turn that down?? I didn't! It was bed time so we ate them all the way upstairs and while her bath was running. Her FAVORITE thing is playing outside. She loves the playset and the swing (her absolute favorite). She says "weeee" while she's swinging. When I get her out, I have to pry her out of it while she cries, "Weeeee" and points at it the entire way back to the house. It's miserable getting her out but worth watching her have so much fun.
Look at ALL of that hair. Ha! We think it's a lot!
She swings on everything! She usually swings a few times before going down the slide. She's a monkey like her brother.
Jared sitting on some of our new patio furniture around our UNFINISHED pool. It's a long story but basically our pool guy is in some financial hard times so.... we'll see what happens.
This is the best tree swing! It's got a long rope and you swing out over the hill. Even with a pretty gentle push you go pretty high. You can't push her high enough! Can you see her hair blowing in the wind!! I was so excited when I saw it. :)

Happy 4th!!

We had a fun and busy 4th! We went to Ft. Smith for a party during the afternoon and then to my sister's house in Bentonville that night.

Lydia made some new friends at the party. It was so cute to see her hanging out with the little girls!!

The party made us SO anxious for our pool to be finished. Jared and Lydia played almost the whole time!!
She would lean over and give him the BIGGEST hugs! She's such a Daddy's girl.
This is Gary throwing Harrison in the pool. He is one of the FUNNIEST people you'll ever meet!Shell's brother-in-law, his wife and kiddos, were in town so we got to hang out with them, too. They are SO much fun! This is their daughter, Anna.
Lyddie and Carter.
The gang! Aidan (Anna's brother), Anna, Lydia and Carter.
DON'T TRY THIS AT HOME! Here are the guys experimenting with fireworks!! Monte (Shell's husband is in orange), Jared and my older brother, Dan (in white).
They would put the firework in the back of the PVC pipe (I knew the pool trash would come in handy!!) and he would launch it. I laughed harder that night than I have in a long time!!

Fireworks!!

We set off fireworks all week! It's a favorite holiday around our house :). These pics were taken on H's actual birthday. What better way to celebrate than with fireworks!!

Harrison and Lydia had gone to look for a parachute guy. When the firework would get finished she would say, "All gone?" and then "More Daddy". She LOVED them. Waiting...
On the fountains she would get up and dance (notice the costume change). These were taken the next night.
She LOVED the sparklers. The next morning I saw that "glass melts at 900 degrees and the tip of a sparkler is 1200 degrees. Half of all injuries to children with fireworks (under five) are due to sparklers!" I felt like a great mom! We were really careful though!!

Happy Birthday Harrison!!

Harrison turned six last Tuesday (the 30th). I can't believe he's "moved to the next hand" (as he put it today). We THOUGHT we would be having a pool party at this point but you know how that goes! We had a party at the park instead and still had a blast. I couldn't pass this picture up! Notice the bag in the background. Perfect for these two!!

Harrison has gotten really good at riding with no training wheels so we got him a new bike. He's not sure if he likes it yet :).
