Redneck Water Slide

My family came over yesterday for Memorial Day cookout. Jared bought some big pieces of plastic and made the BEST slip and slide!!! We put bubble bath and water all over the slide. It was VERY slippery once the kids (and Jared) got wet. We had SO much fun!! The only problem was the abrupt stop at the end!! Next time, we need to extend the slide a LITTLE longer.
This is Zane and Harrison and my nieces Katherine and Kalin.

Camping

Last weekend we went "camping" in our backyard with Aaron, Carrie, and Jacob. We stayed out there until after midnight, but then it got VERY cold. We brought the boys in and A,C,&J went home. The boys were confused about why they went to sleep in the tent and woke up in their beds!

Mother's Day

We had a GREAT Mother's Day yesterday!! Harrison was sick from Thursday thru Saturday night so I kept him home from church (don't worry- that's not the great part!). Jared and Zane brought home Marketplace Grill for lunch along with a rose, a manicure/pedicure gift certificate, and a shopping trip to Cravings (a REALLY cute maternity store) with Jared. It was very sweet. My parent's just got home from their cruise and they came out for a little while. Then we played outside for the rest of the day. We had a bonfire going so we went down and roasted hot dogs and Jared made steaks on the grill. The boys sat in the hot tub while we sat on the porch and talked. It was just a great family day. I'd been in the house since Thursday so it was so nice to get some fresh air and sunshine! There we 50 cute picture opportunities but didn't have my camera out there!! I am officially out of my first trimester and feeling MUCH better. I'm actually excited about cooking this week! My poor family has been living on take out and BLT's, but they have not complained. They're wonderful!!

Breakfast at the Fire Station

Last weekend we went to the fire station for a pancake (and sausage and bacon) breakfast. The boys really enjoyed seeing the fire trucks up close and personal.
