Monday

Monday was a great day for the beach. It never rained and most of the jellyfish were gone. The pool here is great so we spent a little time there before heading to the beach.

Zane was giving shark rides. Harrison's favorite part was going thru the fountain.

Harrison and Kate were relaxing under the umbrella.
Jared really likes sardines and always buys them when we go to the beach (I have never thought of them as a beach food but anyway...). Harrison wanted to try them. When Jared first opened the can Harrison said, "THAT'S what sardines are!!" He really liked them though. We brought our Razorback canopy. The frame broke on the first day during a storm but Jared bought some Duck tape. It'll fix anything! When Amy and I walked out we had on the same outfit!! We got a picture before I changed.

Sunday

Today was our first full day at the beach. We went out for a little bit yesterday evening after getting unpacked. It was pretty overcast today but very pleasant (minus the JELLYFISH!!). It was definitely a day to play in the sand and swim in the pool (until someone POOPED in it!!). Oh well, it's not something that some chlorine and 24 hours won't fix!!

Zane's "Elvis" hair!! We didn't have time to get the boys' hair cut before we left.
They were getting cozy to watch Annie. It was a great way to end the day.

Getting to Florida

Hello from Florida!! Today is our second day in the condo. It's been a little rainy and overcast but we are having a GREAT time. We are here with our friends John and Amy and their girls Kate and Abby. It's so much fun getting to be around little girls!! I'm going to try to post a little while I'm here so that I don't post 50 pictures when I get home! This is Zane and Harrison on the way down. They brought a Pac Man and golf game that plug into the DVD player in the Tahoe. They were lifesavers on the trip. You can only watch so many movies!!
We stopped in Mobile the first night and watched a fireworks display over the bay. We stopped at the battleship the next morning before heading to the beach. Zane is really interested in war right now so we thought he would enjoy it. Just before I took this picture Harrison said, "I've got my two best girls right here!". They are great friends already! Abby has become my little buddy.
John brought his Wii game. The kids (and guys) are loving it. Our condo is fabulous! Kate and Harrison are playing baseball in the entry! The boys have had no trouble sleeping!

The Harrison Club

This afternoon I was packing the boys' clothes for our trip to Florida (YEA--we leave tomorrow!) so Harrison was "babysitting" Lydia in her room. They were being VERY good so I went to check on them. Harrison said, "Wait Mom, don't let her out (there was a tub blocking her from escaping) that's the Harrison Club!! I thought it was really funny at first until I realized that all of those clothes are the ones I'm packing for Lyddie. Oh well, it was entertaining them. No harm done. He even had some of her animals dressed in her clothes. The other pictures are random. I cleared my camera to make room for beach pics.
She is into EVERYTHING and exploring the house! She used to be content to stay in the living room. It's time for more baby gates.
She was so tired this afternoon. She barely cried when I laid her down so I was surprised to find her sleeping sitting up!!!
She bear crawls when she's on the hardwood floor. She's protecting those knees!

Birthday Boy

Harrison's actual birthday was yesterday. I can NOT believe he's five! We had a busy morning but then he got to come home and play outside ALL day. He loves that more than anything. Jared picked up a chocolate cake for dessert. It was a great day. The pictures for the next three posts were ALL from yesterday. I was a snappin' fool!

You Look Like Me!

Lydia was playing at the big mirror in my room yesterday. I can almost see a little bit of myself in this picture. EVERY other picture always looks like Jared, but somthing about this one looked a little like me. Maybe because I do my lips like that when I get mad (or so Jared says!).
Giving her kisses.

Swimming Like a Fish!!

Harrison started swim lessons last week at the club. He is doing GREAT!! He actually swam underwater once before his lessons started but after the first one he was so much more confident. After his second lesson he was jumping off of the side of the pool and swimming underwater to me. He was also going down the water slide and swimming to the edge (sometimes without me touching him!). One of his favorite games is when the teacher pushes him to the bottom of the pool and he has to bring the dive stick up. He is loving it!!

He had to jump in and swim all the way to the rope!
